World Cup squeeze looms Agar set for lead role
The biggest ICC Men's T20 World Cup comprised of 20 teams , will be played in 2024. The tournament will take place in USA as well as on the West Indies.

The pathway to that ICC Men's T20 World Cup in 2024 in the USA and the West Indies will kick off in June with the first group of qualifying tournaments from Europe. This marks the start of the journey towards the biggest Men's T20 World Cup, which will be a record-breaking 20 teams.
Eight teams in the top 8 at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia along with the hosts USA and West Indies will automatically qualify for the marquee event in 2024. The teams that have the second-highest ranking in the ICC Men's T20I Team Rankings as of 14th November 2022 will get the 12 teams automatically qualify for the tournament.
All remaining spots will be determined by regional qualifier tournaments. Two teams for each area in Africa, Asia and Europe will be eligible to compete during the competition in Europe and the Americas and Europe, Asia and the EAP region will be given one team to progress to World Cup. World Cup.
